The flowers and the crowds are back. La Graciosa and its sea are sparkling. And it‘s all thanks to the island’s patron saint, Nuestra Señora del Carmen. The community is getting ready to welcome the most important day of the year and all the cultural activities that will take place in Caleta de Sebo from the 7th to the 22nd of July.
La Graciosa’s most important festival
16th July is the big day on La Graciosa, the day dedicated to celebration in honour of the patron saint of sea-faring folk, Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
La Graciosa launches its programme of activities, concerts and open-air dances the week before the big day, with a focus on celebrating the most significant local festivity for the gracioseros and gracioseras, who welcome the day of traditional festivities by creating an unbeatable summer atmosphere.
These local celebrations are the perfect excuse to share a few beautiful days enveloped by culture and entertainment in the company of friends and family. This time is especially popular with the locals, but it’s enjoyed by visitors too, who find more activity than usual on the island and can enjoy it in all its splendour.
